Dampa Seafood Sri Lanka, a seafood fusion restaurant from Dubai, opened on February 9 on the 6th floor of One Galle Face Mall (One Galle Face Mall, No.1A Centre Road Colombo 02) in Colombo.

Founded in Dubai in 2014, the chain operates American-Asian fusion restaurants in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Philippines. The restaurant specializes in a style where customers eat freshly prepared seafood with their hands. The OGF Mall outlet is the first to open in Sri Lanka.

The interior of the restaurant, located on the 6th-floor rooftop area, is designed with the theme of the sea and fishing. The gray-based interior walls are decorated with artwork of colorful fish and fishing boats, with tables and chairs in white and blue.

The signature menu item is Dampa Feast (Rs. 19,500 for two to three people), an eat-with-your-hands seafood dish. Freshly prepared prawns, cuttlefish, crabs, shellfish, and corn are served directly on the table. The sauce is available in four varieties, including Peri-Peri and Mexican, and it comes with a one-liter Fish Ball Mocktail and two sides, such as garlic rice and bread.

A la carte menu items include Tom Yam Seafood Soup (Rs. 990), Dampa Sushi (Rs. 2,900), Charcoal-grilled Prawns or Crab (Rs. 1,900-4,800), Special Coconut Curry with Crab (Rs. 2,400), Fish Masala (Rs. 3,800), Tuna Burger (Rs. 1,350), and other dishes. Four types of Arabic spicy rice are also available.

The drink menu includes four types of Fish Ball Mocktails, such as in passion fruit and strawberry flavors; Mojitos; Milkshakes; and yogurt-based Lassi.

Opening hours: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
