The hotel Grand Lotus Bentota (125, 30 River Avenue, Aluthgama 80550) opened on April 1 in Bentota, a resort town in southwest Sri Lanka.

The area is located approximately 65 km south of Colombo. Its tourist attractions include a long sandy beach known as “Paradise Island,” diving spots rich in coral, and the centuries-old Galapota Temple.

The hotel is located on the waterfront along the Bentota River. The interior of the hotel features grained wood and is finished in a brown and cream color scheme. The lobby, which also serves as a community lounge, has bas-relief elephants on one wall.

Room types include Deluxe Double, Deluxe Family Suite, and Twin-Chamber. There is also a Tree House room on the top floor. All rooms are equipped with balconies, air conditioning, and flat-screen TVs. The facilities include an outdoor pool overlooking the Bentota River, a terrace, and a restaurant.

The front desk will provide information and assistance with water activities on the ocean and river. Services include jet-ski rides, boat safaris, paramotoring, windsurfing, wakeboarding, banana boat rides, and sofa rides. They also offer flyboarding, which uses a jetpack, and one can fly through the air, performing flips and spins over the water.
