Hamburger specialty restaurant Mburger opens in Bambalapitiya, Colombo, offering 40 varieties

Mburger (325 Galle Road, Colombo 04), a hamburger specialty restaurant, opened on April 2 at Bamba Food Square in Bambalapitiya, Colombo.

The restaurant is an affiliate of Marine Grill, an Indian/Chinese restaurant on Marine Drive. The first Mburger is located in Marine Grill, and the new restaurant in Bambalapitiya is the second. It is a self-service outlet where customers order and pick up their food at the counter. The outdoor dining area with table seating is shared with the other restaurants in the food square.

Signature burgers are available in beef, chicken, and seafood. The lineup includes about 40 varieties, including Beef Classic, Mongolian Beef Cheese Steak, Juicy Juicy Beef, Crispy Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, Jumbo Prawns, and Hawaiian Fish, with prices ranging from 480-980 rupees. Seventeen submarine sandwiches are also available, and customers can add extra fillings, such as chicken ham and beef bacon, to both burgers and sandwiches (Rs. 50 to 100).

The featured item is the Meat Platter (Rs. 6,000 for four people), also offered at the main restaurant, which comes with grilled beef, chicken, grilled prawns, battered prawns, crispy cheese balls, pita bread, french fries, and garlic bread. Sides include Buffalo wings, Nashville fried chicken, and beef cheese cake.

Opening hours: 3:00 p.m. – midnight (from 11:00 a.m. on Wednesdays and until 2:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays).
