Spicy Mango, Sri Lankan restaurant had the first anniversary – Biriyani and nasi goreng

Spicy Mango (12, Kirulapone Mawatha, Colombo 05), which is the Sri Lankan restaurant in Kirulapone Mawatha, Colombo will have its first anniversary soon.

The restaurant offers the genuine taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. Sanjaya Jayawardana, who is managing director says “We started this business by targeting the existing market, and keen to create our own signature brand.” In addition, he also comments “Our dishes have a special taste because we use authentic ingredients. For delivery, we are confident that our delivery packages are suitable for carrying food. These efforts raise the level of service and differentiate from other restaurants in the same industry.”

At this moment, they have three restaurants in the city; Rajagiriya, Townhall, and Kirulapana. The size of this restaurant is more than 5000sqft. They closed due to the COVID-19 situation but will open next week.

The menu includes Sri Lankan chicken biriyani (650Rs), Tandoori chicken biryani (850Rs), special tandoori chicken (850Rs), chicken nasi goreng (575Rs), seafood nasi goreng (650Rs), clay pot chicken (490Rs), etc. Customers can order by phone call, apps such as Ubereats and Pickme food, and deliver within 30 minutes.

Jayawardana says “We are pursuing our professionalism. For example, we will deliver food as soon as possible so that customers enjoy our food in the best condition. Customers must feel our cuisine is deserved to be five-star dishes.”
