Digico Labs, a software and system development company in Kalubowila, a suburb of Colombo, celebrated its first anniversary.

Sidath Gajanayaka, the founder, and two school friends established the company on November 1 last year, with a common goal of “creating an enterprise where people could enjoy engaging in something day in, day out.” Gajanayaka said, “Be it in creating employment opportunities to innovating through different horizons in technology, we wanted to create a platform for it.”

In addition to services associated with software development, such as AI and web-based systems, the company also provides hosting and management services. Prices vary depending on the workload, requirements, and complexity of the project. Its target customer base is “small and medium enterprise level agencies and clients who are in the process of establishing themselves in different markets” in Sri Lanka but also had the opportunity to work with clients from the USA, India and Singapore.

Digico Labs also operates a platform that offers online printing services, and it recently launched “NearMe,” a portal that allows users to search for local businesses and services near them. Gajanayaka added, “We have many more upcoming projects to make life easier for businesses and customers.”
