ColomBar, a bar at the Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo (Cinnamon Lakeside, 115, Sir Chittampalam A.Gardiner Mawatha, Slave Island, Colombo 00200), reopened on May 4 at its original now revamped location.

Formerly located in a different part of the hotel grounds, the bar reopened in a new location on the shore of Lake Beira “to reinvigorate its offering of delightful cocktails, exclusive spirits, and fusion food and music that truly embody the spirit and diversity of the island.”

The signature drink of the destination bar is Lantharum, a blend of arrack — a local Sri Lankan liquor made from coconut juice –, cinnamon, and tea. It is served in a lantharuma, lantern-shaped glasses unique to the bar. It offers over 116 types of arracks and accompaniments.

The food menu includes traditional Sri Lankan dishes such as Kottu Roti and Thambapanni Crab Curry and a variety of local spicy street food. The drinks and dishes have been curated and named, drawing inspiration from local dialects.

Opening hours: 4:00 p.m. – midnight.
